Volunteer Opportunities

Animal Care Assistants
At MHS, volunteers help in many ways—caring for animals, walking dogs, socializing cats, assisting at events, fostering pets, and supporting outreach and education. Whatever your skills or interests, there’s a place for you to make a difference.
Foster Parents
Fostering saves lives by giving animals a safe place to grow, heal, and prepare for adoption. Whether it’s caring for a litter of kittens or offering comfort to a senior pet, foster families provide the love and stability animals need on their way to forever homes.
Skilled Service Volunteers
Share your expertise in event planning, marketing, IT, fundraising, behavior training, or photography to support MHS behind the scenes.
Clerical & Admin Helpers
Assist with office tasks, data entry, and customer service to help shelter operations run smoothly.
